Kat played as much sport as possible from a young age, constantly striving to succeed. Competing in multiple inter-school sporting events, community sport, dancing in the NRL Grand Final Opening Ceremony, Australian Netball Opening Ceremony and achieving the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. As a Brownie and a Girl Guide, Kat was, and still is, one of those "go getters" that maintained this theme of achievement on an academic level alongside consistent sporting achievement and community engagement.
